DOYEON KIM [︎︎︎] is a a creative based in London. Originally from Seoul, South Korea. My interest in design is centred around finding excitement in the mundane of life. I am drawn to highlight a commitment to discovering and sharing stories, particularly through specific art direction. Integrating photography and craft work into the design work, my
works evoke publishing, photography, art direction and exhibition.

The project started with question on ‘my identity’ and ‘identity as a designer’. I was curious about the stories of people in similar situations to me. It’s not an easy decision to move to an entirely new environment and go through unique experiences. They must have experienced, felt, and learned various things while studying abroad or working. I wanted to create a space to share stories of Korean women designers in Europe.

Big thanks to Chi Park (@chihpark) , Dahyun Hwang (@da_hyonni), Jaekyung Kim (@einbuch.haus), Kimmy Kim (@_kimmy_kimm), Ruhui Oh (@orohui), Serena Park (@csaknyackns_ ), Seulki Yoo (@helloiamide), Yejeong Mutter, Minjoo Ham (@minjooham_) and Emin Young (@eminandpaul).
